Friday! Video games! Let’s talk!
Brad is not back yet. Hang in there, bud.
As for myself, I’ve had a mixed work schedule of nightshifts and dayshifts. So if I start slurring my words don’t go thinking I was day drinking. It’s just a lack of sleep.

Remember when I said I needed a break from this game? Well, that didn’t last long. After buying the DLC I jumped right back into the game. I’m finding the new enemies even more daunting and relentless than the originals. It also reals like the game runs better in that the graphics are smoother but the game seems somehow even more glitchy. There are even more physic problems of walls apparently not being walls since enemies constantly shoot and run threw them.
Even with the technical issues, I’m in for another run through this game. They added a lot of content and things to do which makes it interesting to play again already.
I finished the campaign. It was ok. It felt like another mediocre Call of Duty campaign. Not too much to say about it other than that.

After putting hours into this campaign, I have absolutely no idea what is going on. The previous game’s campaign at least some cohesion to it that this one sorely lacks. There are so many jumps of who is working with or against who that I’m not sure what I’m supposed to be thinking. In a way it feels like different people wrote different parts of this game and never talked to each other then in the end somebody blindly stitched them together into this calico tapestry of a game.
If I’m not playing any games this weekend, I’ll be sleeping.
What about you, folks? Any gaming plans this weekend?

I picked up Octopath Traveler, despite not being in the mood for an rpg. If I play anything I’ll probably just hop around between Alienation, Dead Nation, and the Full Throttle remaster.
All solid choices.
I really liked Dead Nation on Vita so I picked up the ps4 version while it was on sale for $3. Alienation is fun too, but can be rough to solo when other players aren’t joining.
Holy shit it’s a wild Beltravi out of hiding!
I’m recovering from a bout of food poisoning but I’ve dived into Diablo 3 hardcore. Not the hardcore mode, just… Y’know. I’ve been working on Season 14 and have completed the Slayer challenges and am working my way up, little by little. I’ve never had a full six set piece and holy crap is it amazing. I stupidly didn’t realize Haedrigs Gift would give me what I needed so I farmed all of one set and most of the others on my own. Oh well. I’ll save Haedrigs Gift for my non seasonal Monk. I’m able to kill bosses in TVII, but I’m dying a lot to trash mobs so I may drop back down to TVI, or just spam Deaths Breaths for new better versions of what I have. Online everyone was saying Firebird’s Finery is a bleep to use but now that I have the hang of it, I’m slaughtering everything. It’s awesome.
When I’m not on D3, I’ve been running with my Dead by Daylight Gang. Reached Rank 12 before the reset today and I’m already Devotion 17 or 18 in the new leveling system. DBD has been having issues since the new content drop, so me and two others have occasionally hopped over to Borderlands 2 as well. I rolled a new Psycho.
Other than that, it’s been the game of dealing with the fallout of leaving Target and getting my affairs in order.. which is probably why I’ve been on D3 so much, to handle the stress.
Great to hear from you! Hope all is well and/or getting better.
I’ve been thinking about the Diablo scene and considering going back in. Then I realize how deep down the rabbit hole I am with XCOM. (Stopped playing it just to type this out. 😉 though.)
Oooo I’m so loved and missed I got a rare game pause?! I’m touched!
Things are getting better bit by bit. Just waiting on a few more things then everything will be settled.
If you hop back in, lemme know. My seasonal Wizard is like paragon 170 or so, so I can level you up right quick. And we can run amuck!
Will do my friend. Keep on keeping on and please, keep in touch.
Hell yes. I’m trying to get back into my circles and out of my shell. It’s been a rough year and I kind of retreated a lot.
I’ll be here.
I’ll be at ConnectiCon for Saturday, so I’ll be playing a bit of whatever arcade cabs I find between panels. Sunday, I’ll probably end up streaming some more Serious Sam. I’ve been doing a few of those as of late. So we’ll see!
I popped in on your stream the other night. That game has a Doom vibe to me but looks like fun.
Yeah! The series is basically Robotron 2084 or Smash TV in first-person, with Doom inspired enemies, and zaniness. It’s great.
