Hopefully you had a good Valentine’s Day, whether you were alone or not. I spent part of the day with some friends drinking at the bar, at least we entertained each other.
I’ve come to the conclusion I will never clear out my Netflix queue. Every time I get through some of the programs I have queued, I inevitably add more and for as many things as I watched this week it doesn’t even appear to be any lesser. Here is the breakdown of what I watched this week.
Robin Hood – This was a favorite of mine as a child and still stands as my gold standard when it comes to Robin Hood movies.
Heavenly Sword – I’ve heard of the game but have never played it and therefore had no idea what to expect from the movie. It was absolutely fantastic and I encourage anyone to watch it. It has a story that is bold and the production is beautiful.
RWBY – The first volume seemed like a mix of Japanese anime and Looney Tunes but the second volume showed a lot of growth in the story and production. I’m curious as to how it will be handled with the unfortunate and untimely death of Monty Oum. I hope they carry on with it in his memory.
Nick Offerman: American Ham – This guy is halarious, watch this.
Mel Brooks: Make A Noise – Another brilliantly funny man.
I spent some time playing Neverwinter on PC this week. It is not the type of game I typically play but it seems like it is well done. However, I’m not sure how much more time I will spend playing it. This game is supposed to come to the Xbox One soon, I might pick it back up and play more then.
Other than Neverwinter, I just bounced around playing little tidbits of other games. I jumped back into Destiny for a little bit and realized that game still makes me sad. A game so graphically and functionally well-built is still ruined by its quest and upgrade systems. On the other side of the spectrum, Titanfall is still as good as it ever was. I can jump right back into that game and have a blast. Unfortunately I didn’t make any time to play any of the Star Wars games I bought in the Humble Bundle…maybe next week.
Well, I’m off to finish watching RoboCop 2.
