Like far too many others, I don’t want to believe what I’ve read either. But in light of overwhelming reports from too many credible sources, it appears that Robin Williams has passed away in an apparent suicide. First and foremost, let us keep his family in our thoughts as well as offer them what respect and privacy we can.
I’ll remember Robin Williams first from his work on Mork and Mindy but admired him more for his range and breadth than anything. The shear madness that he was in his stage acts was a stark contrast to the stoically dramatic roles that won him praise and honors. More striking was how believable his acting was at both sides of the spectrum. He could make you cry from laughing or bring you to tears by touching your heart.
A found farewell have we bid to too many of favorite celebrities, and our own loved ones. Now, we say goodbye to one more.
