Thanks to a recent system update to the PS3, you can now use the Dualshock 4 wirelessly with your PS3. Mind you, the solution is not perfect since some functions like sixaxis and rumble may not work. Plus some games are still incompatible with the controller and console combination, but the overwhelming functionality is there.
Follow these instructions from Joystiq to make your controller dreams come true:
